Questions & Answers about Vision Insurance & Medical Insurance

Home \ Insurance \ Questions & Answers about Vision Insurance & Medical Insurance

Vision insurance is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.  Any eye condition that is not directly visual in nature is likely a medical condition.  Eye exams and services for these conditions are not a part of a wellness exam and would therefore be filed on your medical plan.  Examples of these conditions would be cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, eye allergies, and diabetic eye disease.

If you have further questions about your insurance benefits, please ask any of our staff or speak directly to our Insurance Specialist.
