Our Team

Our Practice Manager oversees the day to day operations of our practice.  She coordinates all aspects of patient care throughout our office and is committed to maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction.

Meredith has been our Practice Manager since 2004.  Outside the office, she enjoys scrapbooking, travel, church activities and spending time with her family.  She and Dr. Green have five children; Ethan, Abby, Noah, Isabella, and Lilah.  They live in Tuscaloosa and are members of Calvary Baptist Church.

Our Frame Stylists are highly trained to help you select the most appropriate frames and lenses to meet your individual needs.  They also take care to properly fit and adjust your new glasses and assist you with any eye wear counseling.  If you have any questions or concerns our staff will be delighted to address them as meticulously as possible.

Kathy Baker is a Frame Stylist with 21 years of experience. She enjoys assisting patients, and her outgoing personality and genuine care enhances every patient visit. Kathy has been married to her husband, Danny, for 28 years. They have one son, Tyler, who attends Troy University. They are members of Linden Baptist Church in Linden, Alabama. Kathy enjoys cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, and traveling.

Kim Coley has 15 years of experience as an Optometric Technician and Frame Stylist. She loves her colleagues and says, "They are like my second family". Kim's "first" family consists of her husband that she has been happily married to for 22 years, and their 20 year old daughter who is currently attending school for cosmetology. When Kim is not caring for patients at Green Family Eye Care, she enjoys working in her yard, and relaxing in her swimming pool. She also enjoys dining with family and friends at two of her favorite local restaurants: Las Puentes and Red Barn.

Our Insurance Specialist helps to decrease your wait time in our office by verifying your benefits prior to your visit.  She also acts as your advocate in dealings with your insurance provider.

Marsha Hill has been working as an Insurance Specialist at Green Family Eye Care since 2009.  Her experience and knowledge allows her to answer almost any question you may have regarding your insurance benefits. She also coordinates our Glaucoma Medication Patient Assistance Program.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her teenage daughters, ages 20 and 17, wake boarding, skiing, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.

Anna McAlpine has been employed at Green Family Eye Care since 2005.  She has lived in Linden, Alabama since 1994 and she attends First Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama. Together, she and her husband, Mike, have a total of five children, eight grandchildren, and one on the way, due this November! They also have three dogs, two cats, two horses, and many cows. She enjoys working in her yard, going to the pasture, riding on country roads, going to the mountains, and visiting shut-ins. One thing Anna says and wants everyone to know about her is that, "I can't brag about anything but what the Lord has done for me".

Our Special Testing Technician is responsible for conducting procedures that have been ordered by Dr. Green.  These procedures are essential in the diagnosis and monitoring of many eye diseases, including glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Christy Parker has worked at Green Family Eye Care since 2007. She works as the Special Testing Technician and also as an Optometric Technician. Christy enjoys reading, going to the beach, traveling, going to the pasture, and watching her children (Ellie, Christian, Kimberly, and Olivia) participate in sports. She, her husband, and children live in Linden, Alabama and attend Linden Baptist Church. Other members of their family include two dogs, Carter and Max, a cat, Presley, and many cows.

Deborah Phillips has been greeting patients with a smile in the reception area of Green Family Eye Care since February 2009. She and her husband of 27 years have two wonderful children that they love spending time with. They are members of Fairhaven Baptist Church where Deborah teaches a two year old Sunday School Class. She enjoys living in Demopolis near her extended family and feels that this area has much to offer with great local restaurants, excellent schools, and of course, Green Family Eye Care!

 Some tests are done at our office before you see the doctor.  The information gathered from these tests form a basis from which your doctor will conduct your examination.  Our well trained clinic staff is responsible for this aspect of your examination called pretesting.  They are also responsible for guiding you through any tests that are necessary after the examination and contact lens instruction.  

Lauren Reeves is a graduate of the University of West Alabama. She has had experience working in several different areas of optometric care at Green Family Eye Care over the course of about six years. She is currently working as an Optometric Technician and enjoys assisting patients with pre-visit care. In her free time she enjoys cooking, home improvement projects, and reading.

Our lead Optician is responsible for overseeing the operation of our on-site lab and frame gallery.  She also coordinates the ordering and delivery of glasses and contact lenses.

Becky Smith has worked as an Optometric Technician at Green Family Eye Care since 2009. She and her husband, Ray, attend Cornerstone Church in Linden, Alabama. She has been a volunteer for the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department since 2001, and Marengo County Fire and Rescue since 2005. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, running, and working out. Becky also enjoys working with patients, and her calm, yet fun-loving personality always makes patients feel comfortable and know that they are welcome at Green Family Eye Care.

As the Surgery Coordinator for Green Family Eye Care, I am responsibie for arrangement of cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and any other specialist referral appointments.

Pat Trull has greeted and checked out patients for at Green Family Eye Care since 2004, and is often the last of many smiling faces patients will see during their visit. She enjoys her job because it allows her to meet people and to be of service to them. She is always eager to go above and beyond for patients and to make sure that they have everything they need before they leave our office. She has been married to her husband, Ken, for 46 years. They have two children, and eight grandchildren. Most of their weekends are spent watching their grandchildren participate in sports events, and just spending time with them. They both enjoy traveling and do so as often as possible. They attend Gallion Baptist Church.
